Description
The composition "Music for Festivals" by Pavel Stanék was first performed during the Week of New Creation in Prague in autumn 1984 by the Czech Central Orchestra. The festive fanfares in the introduction to the composition are replaced by fresh melodies with changing rhythms in eighth bar. The slower middle part brings calm through extensive melody passages. At the end, the solemn motif returns.
